Watch Video – David Bekham Driving Safa Tempo in Kathmandu , Nepal

Football legend David Beckham played football with school children at the Taumadhi Square in front of the iconic Nyatapole Temple in Bhaktapur on Friday afternoon.

The former England international and Manchester United star arrived at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Friday morning as a part of his seven-match global football tour  – Beckham Match for Children –  to collect funds for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and

Beckham, a Goodwill Ambassador to UNICEF, flew to Kathmandu from Nepal after playing first match of the charity series. He also drove safa tempo in of Kathmandu.

A documentary “David Beckham: For the Love of the Game“, commissioned  by the BBC, is  also being shot here.

A crowd gathered at the Bhaktapur Durbar Square to catch a glimpse of the star footballer when he toured the UNESCO World Heritage Site before reaching Taumadhi to play the token football match with local school children.
